Black Sabbath : Hartford Evil is a live album recorded on May 14, 2007 at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut. It was released on July 10, 2007 by Vertigo Records. The album was recorded during the band's tour in support of the 2006 album " Black Sabbath : The Dio Years". The album features performances of songs from all of Black Sabbath's studio albums , with the exception of "Heaven and Hell" and "Dehumanizer". It also includes a performance of Black Sabbath's "Neon Knights" by Dio, who replaced original lead singer Ozzy Osbourne in the band in 1979. The album was met with mixed reviews from music critics. Some critics felt the album was unnecessary, while others felt it was a decent live album. "Hartford Evil" received a gold certificate from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on November 9, 2007 for shipping over 500,000 copies in the United States.
