The album was a commercial success and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. It sold 732,000 album equivalent units, 160,000 of which were pure album sales. It became the biggest debut of the year in the United States. The album also reached number one in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
